Welcome to the Papakat Creator Programme. These terms explain how collaborations between Papakat and you (the creator) work. By creating an account and accepting a collaboration offer, you agree to the terms below.
1. ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
Papakat partners with creators for two kinds of collaborations:
• Barter collaboration — we send you Papakat product(s) free of cost in exchange for agreed content. No cash payment is made.
• Paid collaboration — a cash fee is agreed in writing in addition to, or instead of, product.
The type, products, fee (if any) and deliverables for your collaboration are shown on your offer screen before you accept.
2. ACCEPTING AN OFFER
An offer becomes binding when you press "I Accept" on your offer screen. We record the date, time and IP address of your acceptance. Until you accept, nothing is confirmed. If anything in the offer is unclear, ask us in the chat before accepting.
3. PRODUCTS WE SEND
• Products sent for a barter collaboration are yours to keep once the agreed content is delivered and approved.
• Products remain the property of Papakat until the agreed content is delivered. If content is not delivered within the agreed timeline, Papakat may request the return of the product at your cost, or invoice you for its retail value.
• Please inspect the product on delivery and tell us in chat within 48 hours if it is damaged or incorrect.
4. YOUR CONTENT AND DEADLINES
• You agree to create and publish the deliverables listed on your offer (for example: one Instagram Reel and three Stories) by the agreed deadline.
• The deadline is shown on your dashboard with a countdown. We will send reminder emails as it approaches.
• Content must feature the Papakat product clearly and follow any brief shared with you in chat.
• Content must be original, created by you, and must not include material you do not have the rights to use (including music, footage or images owned by others).
• Please follow applicable advertising rules, including disclosing the collaboration (for example #ad, #collab or the platform's paid-partnership label) as required by law in your country.
5. APPROVAL AND REVISIONS
• Share your content link with us through the app before or immediately after posting, as agreed.
• If content does not match the brief, we may request reasonable changes. We will explain what is needed through chat and agree a revised timeline with you.
• We will not ask you to change your genuine opinion about the product.
6. HOW WE USE YOUR CONTENT
By collaborating with us you grant Papakat a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to repost, reshare and use the content created for this collaboration across Papakat's own marketing channels (including our social media accounts, website, and marketplace listings), with credit to you where the format allows. This licence lasts for 12 months from the date you publish the content, unless we agree otherwise in writing. You continue to own your content.
7. PAYMENT (PAID COLLABORATIONS ONLY)
• The agreed fee, payment method and timeline are confirmed on your offer screen.
• Unless stated otherwise, payment is made within 15 working days of the agreed content being published and approved.
• You are responsible for your own taxes on any fee received.
• Barter collaborations involve no cash payment of any kind.
8. IF THINGS DO NOT GO TO PLAN
• If you cannot meet a deadline, tell us in chat as early as possible — we will usually be able to agree a new date.
• If content is not delivered and you stop responding, Papakat may end the collaboration, request return of the product or its value, and may choose not to work together in future.
• Either side may end a collaboration before shipping by telling the other in the app.
9. YOUR DETAILS AND PRIVACY
• We collect the details you provide (name, contact details, social handle, audience figures, shipping address) to run the collaboration, ship products and communicate with you.
• We store your chat history and collaboration records for our internal use. We do not sell your personal information.
• You may ask us to delete your account and details at any time by messaging us in the app.
• Please keep your account password confidential.
10. HONESTY OF INFORMATION
The follower counts, engagement figures and other details you provide should be accurate and your own. Providing false information, or using purchased or artificial engagement, may end the collaboration and any pending payment.
11. CONFIDENTIALITY
Unreleased products, prices, campaign plans and anything else we share with you before launch must be kept confidential until we publish them.
12. GENERAL
• Nothing in these terms makes you an employee, agent or partner of Papakat. You are an independent creator.
• We may update these terms; the version shown here at the time you accept an offer applies to that collaboration.
• These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Kolkata, West Bengal shall have jurisdiction.
